baby poppy has arrived, the first girl in her family. she’s got two amazing parents and three impish, adorable, be-dimpled (yes, that is a new word i just made up) older brothers who love her to pieces. this little sweetheart has everything she needs.

it’s hard to describe how amazing it feels to watch my families grow.  i’ve been with this family since i started as a photographer. first, their wedding, with max as the cutest ring-bearer of all time. then their maternity shots, their newborn photos of sweet little gunnar, their christmas photos and now that lindsey is pregnant again i got to join in their joy once more. i don’t have children of my own, and so it gives me immense pleasure to witness other families get bigger and happier as time goes by. this family is especially close to my heart since they’ve been with me from the beginning. i couldn’t be happier that they’re about to welcome a little girl to their loving home.

this little baby kept me giggling our whole session. she is incredibly sweet and had so many funny, cute and scrunchy faces. enjoy the adorable you’re about to see!

i can’t to wait the little baby that is growing in this belly! this woman is like a sister to me, so her baby will be family. can. not. wait.

the first time i met marta was about a year and a half ago when she hired me to make some portraits of her “just because.” i was thrilled when she hired me again this january to refresh her head shots. we braved the cold, damp wind to get these beautiful shots by minnehaha falls. i love photographing people just one-on-one because it’s easy to just mellow out and goof around a bit. some of the expressions i got from marta are just breath-taking. enjoy!
